FREE eBooks December 26 and in January at A WRITERS WORK
A Writers Work is a co-op run by many multi-published authors. A variety of genres are available. Most of the books are their back list books, which have not been available for years. There are also some new works.
From the December-January A Writers Work Newsletter:
On December 26, you can download ONE free eBook from A Writers Work from each of the nineteen member authors.
And in January, each author will give away one book per day. More info below, and at their website, http://awriterswork.com/. You can sign up for their newsletter at their website (on the right side).

Shari Anton / Fran Baker / Becky Barker / Nicole Byrd / Ken Casper / Phoebe Conn/Diane Chamberlain / Ginger Chambers /Jasmine Cresswell / Kathy Lynn Emerson/Barbara Freethy / Lori Handeland / Holly Jacobs / Elizabeth Kary / Cait London/Patricia McLinn / Patricia Rice / Leigh Riker / Karen van der Zee
Here are the details:
-- No more than 1 book per author will be free to any individual/household.
-- If you order more than 1 book by an author, the most expensive book will be free to you. (Doesn't it always bug you when the lowest priced item is the free one? Us, too. So we aren't treating you that way.) You will be charged the regular price for any additional books by that author.
-- E-xtravaganza runs from 12:01 a.m.-11:59 p.m. EST Dec. 26, as time-stamped by PayPal.
-- Initially, you will be charged for your book(s), then you will receive a refund via PayPal for the full purchase price, making it free. (But remember, if you order more than 1 book per author, only 1 will be free. The others will be charged at regular price.)
-- We will issue that refund via PayPal by Dec. 29 (earlier if technical issues, weather in the US Midwest, PayPal, weather in the US Southwest and other potential gremlins cooperate.)
E-Xtravaganza on Dec. 26 is a great opportunity to try out e-books, AWritersWork, and authors you'll love!
And there's more ...

Read An E-Book Week
Did you know that March 8th thru the 14th is Read an E-Book Week? Well, it is. :) This is the first I've heard about it.
Here's a bit of background I snipped from the Read an E-Book Week site:
History - Read an E-Book Week was first registered with Chase's Calendar of Events in 2004. Chase's is a day by day directory of special days, weeks and months used by event planners or anyone looking for a reason to celebrate. By having the week officially recognized, e-book authors and publishers acquired a certain extra "legitimacy" during that week to promote the new technology of e-books. The public and media were initially wary of e-books and many doors were closed to promotion. With the week officially recognized by Chase's, authors reported they now had access to television morning chat shows and were allowed to set up library displays during the week-long event.
Purpose - Read an E-Book Week is a not-for-profit week set aside to inform the public about the pleasures and advantages of reading electronically. Authors, publishers, vendors, the media and readers world-wide are welcome to join in the effort. We encourage you to promote electronic reading with any event. These could include: public readings, library displays, reading challenges, school visits, newspaper and blog articles, chat show appearances, internet radio interviews, e-book give-ways, and banners on your website. The Read an E-Book Website is here to provide the latest information on e-books and to act as a collection point where you can list your event or give-away.
The site has all you ever wanted to know about ebook readers, too. If you'd like to learn more about Read an E-Book Week and/or download a free support/promotional badge like the one I have above (there are badges for different genres). go to:
Happy Reading!
Oh, by the way, here's a little something extra to help celebrate Read anE-Book Week:
